I have served on the board of UX Akron, a non-profit and local UX meetup in Akron, Ohio, since 2017. I am currently serving as Vice President.

Since 2015, I have acted as the local organizer for World Information Architecture Day in Northeast Ohio.

World IA Day is the one day a year the community gets together for a global conference, curated and organized by volunteers around the world, to host and encourage conversations about information architecture.

Over the last 11 years I have completed 4 half marathons for Team in Training, donated dozens of cakes for large fundraising teams in Light the Night Walks, served on both the advisory and event planning committees for the Man and Woman of the Year Campaign, been a team member for 2 Man and Woman of the Year all-star campaigns, and run two of my own campaigns for Woman of the Year and All-Star Woman of the Year.

In July, 2019 I volunteered as a Conductor on the Ohio Startup Bus.

I assisted in coordinating a 5 day bus trip for entrepreneurs, designers and developers from Akron, OH to New Orleans, LA. Along the route riders conceived of, built and launched 6 startups.

As an undergraduate at Mount Union College I was one of 12 women who formed Delta Sigma Tau local sorority when our national sorority charter was revoked. I have been involved with the group since founding it in 1990, serving as one of their chapter advisors since 1995.
